On Thursday, February 7, after a three-hour journey at 1PM Our Lady of Czestochowa arrived to visit the community of Talavera de la Reina in the archdiocese and province of Toledo.
She visited the school of Colegio de la Compania de Maria. The children were waiting for the arrival of the Icon together with their teachers. There were about 1 thousand people together.
After the arrival and the welcoming ceremony eight girls carried the Icon to the church – the school chapel. It is an old Gothic church which can accommodate 1000 people.
All the classes, one by one, came to pay homage to the Mother of God. The children were told the story of the Czestochowa Icon and the idea of the peregrination across the world in defense of human life.
Prayers lasted till 5 PM and then a group of different eight girls carried the Icon to the “Life Mobile”. Our Lady of Czestochowa after a nice stay with the children went to the capital of Spain – Madrid.
